Urge Wild Willies to Cancel Its Vulgar Commercial

Wild Willies offends conservative parents in its newest commercial, “Ready to Become a Panty Dropper.” The company sells men’s beard grooming products, but its current advertising takes an unnecessary and inappropriate approach.

At first, this men’s grooming commercial shows a wife saying, “My husband’s a panty dropper.” When she and her husband are out shopping and are in the lingerie department, the panties fall off the mannequins, and the entire panty display rack also falls to the floor. Because he uses Wild Willies’ beard grooming products, the ad insinuates that it not only makes him grow a fuller beard, but apparently, it makes him irresistible to women (or at least their panties).

The commercial continues at the couple’s home. When the wife is in the kitchen, her husband walks by, and viewers see her panties fall around her ankles. The wife says, “Great, there they go again!”

When the before and after pictures of the husband show how much his beard has improved, his wife briefly mentions that she would let the old version of her husband go to a strip club but would not currently even let him go to a PTA meeting alone.

As proof of her concerns, the commercial depicts the husband walking into a PTA meeting with several women wearing dresses and skirts. Their panties quickly fall to the floor around their ankles, as does the underwear of a man in a kilt.

The wife continues to complain that she now must watch him like a hawk. And sure enough, as she waits for her husband to open the door for an elderly woman gawking at him, the wife yells, “Get your own beard stud, you bingo-loving bimbo.” Of course, the elderly lady’s panties also fall off.

Later in the commercial, the wife warns other men that if they do not use these products, then they’re not getting lucky anytime soon. In fact, without Wild Willies’ products, she says (and demonstrates) that it’s as if she is wearing anti-gravity underwear – with suspenders and helium balloons pulling them up.

Finally, as they sit on the sofa, the wife jumps on her husband and straddles him, only to be disrupted by a mob of women in the front yard also wanting her bearded husband.

Obviously, Wild Willies has deliberately decided to produce controversial advertisements instead of wholesome ones. One Million Moms finds this type of ad highly inappropriate.

What’s worse, Wild Willies’ advertisements air during primetime when families are most likely to be watching. How damaging and destructive to children! Everyone knows children repeat what they hear. Wild Willies should be more responsible in its marketing decisions.

Let them know that, as a parent and consumer, you are disgusted by their recent marketing choices.

Wild Willies needs to know parents disapprove!
