HGTV Must Be Desperately Seeking Attention

HGTV is pushing the envelope by using a hint of an expletive in the title of one of its newest shows Cheap A$$ Beach Houses. The new program Cheap A$$ Beach Houses, produced by Bodega Pictures, attempts to be humorous while focusing on affordable beach houses. Funny is not what comes to parents’ minds when they find out about this upcoming show.

Cheap A$$ Beach Houses premieres December 3, 2025, and has many families fired up! HGTV is marketing this new series in television guides, listings, and schedules. The idea of profanity as part of the title is unacceptable.

1MM could not imagine that a prominent network would include an expletive or intentionally title a program with the expletive ostensibly bleeped out. Either way it gives the appearance of profanity. Everyone knows children repeat what they see and hear.

HGTV is obviously going for shock value here as there are numerous options which would not be offensive.
