Frida Baby is Facing Huge Backlash!
Frida Baby (a company that makes products for birth, baby, and postpartum care) is facing huge backlash, and rightly so, after using controversial marketing on its packaging and online. In response, Frida Baby stands behind its use of humor to discuss the messier aspects of parenthood.
This humor comes in the form of sexual references, marketing its baby products. These phrases are extremely perverted and warrant outrage.
Sexual innuendos are a disgusting way to advertise baby items.
To name a few used by Frida Baby:
- - “How About a Quickie?” on the Touchless Thermometer packaging.
- - “This is the closest your husband’s gonna get to a threesome,” on the True Temp Thermometer packaging.
- - A Frida Baby Instagram post with the image of an infant’s face with visible nasal mucus references the caption, “What happens when you pull out too early,” for the NoseFrida, SnotSucker nasal aspirator.
These phrases are extremely inappropriate; the marketing team needs to be held accountable. The sexualization and objectification of children must stop.
