'F-word' broadcast on NBC network
The Xfinity NASCAR Race this past Sunday, November 1, 2020, was extremely disappointing to many viewers during the post-race celebration. After Chase Elliott won the Xfinity 500 Martinsville 2020 Playoff Cut Race, he celebrated with his race team at 4:58 p.m. CT on NBC. Unfortunately, while they were celebrating, one of his crewmen dropped the f-bomb when families were likely watching. The announcer even said they apologize about the language, but it was too late since the damage has already been done. It was very clear the f-word was used, and NBC needs to be more responsible and should always have a five-second delay on all live coverage to protect families. Everyone knows children repeat what they hear. Shame on NBC!
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) needs to hold NBC accountable and fine the network for not safe-guarding viewers. Broadcast network television is subject to FCC indecency fines. We need your help sending a complaint to the FCC.
