Venus Launches Vulgar Ad Campaign!

Venus Launches Vulgar Ad Campaign!

In its attempt to promote a better shaving experience, Gillette Venus has launched an ongoing series of commercials about shaving pubic hair. Venus Pubic Hair & Skin, “A Better Pubic Shave Is Here,” is one currently aired by Gillette Venus.

The ad features two women sunbathing at the beach when one expresses discomfort. When asked, “What’s wrong?” She declares, “ I shaved, so now I’m itchy.” Her friend conveys disgust over the use of a leg razor in the pubic area.

The ad then changes location to a bathroom scene showing the second female standing in her lingerie. The camera zooms in on the woman’s crotch as she uses a Venus razor to shave exposed hair. She praises the anti-irritation barrier, which safeguards the delicate area from ingrown hairs and bumps, and declares that a better pubic shave is here.

The ad concludes its marketing campaign with, “My skin, my way. Venus.”

Venus chose to air these commercials despite their controversial nature.

These inappropriate commercials are during prime hours when children are likely watching television, so family viewing time is ruined.

Can you imagine what goes through a child’s mind when he or she sees these ads? Venus should be ashamed!

It is extremely disrespectful to families. It’s no wonder that the comments on YouTube have been turned off for viewers.

Venus needs to know that parents do not approve of its advertising tactics. The company may push away customers if it continues advertising in a repulsive manner that offends parents.
