Subject: Hope this was simply an oversight
For starters, you can be assured with a TV-MA LSV rating, it is not appropriate for television. The content of this unbelievable program includes extreme foul language, sexual innuendos, implications, or graphic encounters throughout the entire thirty-minute program. Many times the script involves the two children spouting off profanities.
“The Detour” is twisted and warped entertainment that I am sure you do not want your company associated with. The victims of this outrageous program are the young cast members, not to mention any child who views the show.
While your company is a household name, I do not agree with your financial backing of this program. I certainly hope your company's financial support of this type of television programming with advertising dollars is simply an oversight.
As a consumer, I am asking you to please pull your sponsorship before this week’s episode. I urge you to place “The Detour” on your “do not advertise” list. My decision to support Whole Foods Market depends on it.
I look forward to hearing from you regarding my concern.
It is almost impossible to describe the depth of depravity found in the TBS sitcom, "The Detour." 1MM will not go into detail and spread its nasty content further. 1MM cannot even mention specifics during radio interviews because it pushes the envelope so much. Every scene is filled with extremely foul language, using the Lord’s name in vain, sexual innuendos, and graphic encounters throughout the entire thirty-minute program. During the majority of that time, young cast members are involved as well.
New episodes about this criminal family who is running from the law air on Tuesday evenings at 10:30 p.m. ET/9:30 p.m. CT. Reruns will be on Saturday evenings. With a TV-MA LSV rating, this irresponsible and tasteless program is inappropriate for any age, but unfortunately, the age of two primary cast members may attract young viewers. The network should be ashamed of itself for exposing the two young actors to this filth and crude humor. Many times, the script involves the two children spouting off profanities.
Please use the information we have provided on our website to contact Whole Foods Market and ask that they pull their financial support from “The Detour.”
Urge advertisers to place the program on their "do not advertise" list in protest of the attempt to desensitize America and our children by promoting inappropriate behavior.
