'Family Guy' crossed the line

"Family Guy" has to be one of the most repulsive shows on television. Foul language, sexual comments and the occasional mockery of Christianity are the norm in this lewd program. The February 14th episode crossed the line when they mocked special needs children. This program airs on Sunday nights at 8:30 p.m. EDT/ 7:30 p.m. central on Fox.

This vile and vulgar show not only mocked Down syndrome, but portrayed the child with a disability as her dad being an accountant and her mom the former governor of Alaska. Sarah Palin's youngest child, Trig, has Down syndrome and this episode made a comparison which Palin said felt "like another kick in the gut."

Rather than going into details as to how she felt, Palin posted her 19-year-old daughter, Bristol's response to the controversy, saying it was "a much more restrained and gracious statement than I want to make."

Bristol wrote: "Are there any limits to what some people will do or say in regards to my little brother or others in the special needs community? If the writers of a particularly pathetic cartoon show thought they were being clever in mocking my brother and my family yesterday [Sunday], they failed. All they proved is that they’re heartless jerks."

WARNING: Graphic content description! Sensitive members may prefer to skip to the TAKE ACTION portion of this alert. This program is extremely popular and was nominated last year for "Best Comedy." This episode was rated TV-14 DLSV which means it should be suitable for 14 year olds.

This episode also included: (* is used to bypass internet filters.)

• Mocking Down syndrome while making fun of physical characteristics.
• Foul language used: b*tch, *ss, f*(beep)cking, wh*re, d*mn, and suck it!
• Infant wearing black leather thong, fishnets, and cone-shaped bra.
• A psychic, 2 naked men in bed together, and one character was a condom in his 'next life.'
• Doggie Dominatrix.
• '12-year-old girl who got her boobs early' is what the father, Peter, said he needed to feel.
• A homosexual character thrown in for good measure.
